The Sandy Lake Band of Mississippi Chippewa will continue to fight to restore what is rightfully theirs, the right to exist as the historic Sandy Lake Band of Mississippi Chippewa. We will fight this all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary. Our notice of appeal was filed with the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. It is there that we hope to receive a fair and just hearing. Our two court cases were heard by the same federal judge and it is our belief his judgment was biased.
