NNABA FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES BAR REVIEW SCHOLARSHIP
PHOENIX — The National Native American Bar Association (NNABA) Foundation is excited to announce the second year of its Bar Review Scholarship Program. NNABA Foundation will award at least ten (10) $1,500 scholarships. The NNABA Foundation is partnering with regional American Indian Bar Associations to award these bar review scholarships.

“This year NNABA celebrates its 45 year anniversary. To honor NNABA’s achievements and leadership throughout the years, NNABA created the NNABA Foundation Bar Review Scholarship Program to help strengthen the pipeline for young Native American attorneys. We greatly appreciate the support of our sponsors and partners, and look forward to awarding our 2018 scholarship recipients,” said NNABA Foundation President Diandra D. Benally.

To advance its mission to foster the development of Native American lawyers, the NNABA Foundation Board of Directors established this Scholarship Program to help Native American law students offset bar review course/program expenses. The Bar Prep Scholarships were made possible by the generous support of Walmart and NBCUniversal.

The scholarship recipients will be honored at NNABA’s Annual Meeting, which will be held on April 4, 2018, at the Talking Stick Resort and Casino, Scottsdale, Arizona.

More information and a copy of the NNABA Foundation Bar Review Scholarship application is available HERE. The deadline to apply for these scholarships is March 2, 2018.

Established in 2014, the NNABA Foundation works to foster development of Native American lawyers and addressing social, cultural and legal issues affecting American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians, through the grant of scholarships to law students, the organization of seminars and conferences on topics of interest to the legal profession, and the preparation and distribution of articles and reports on legal issues.
